From the Washington Post:
Pearls Before Breakfast
Can one of the nation's great musicians cut through the fog of a D.C. rush hour? Let's find out.

HE EMERGED FROM THE METRO AT THE L'ENFANT PLAZA STATION AND POSITIONED HIMSELF AGAINST A WALL BESIDE A TRASH BASKET. By most measures, he was nondescript: a youngish white man in jeans, a long-sleeved T-shirt and a Washington Nationals baseball cap. From a small case, he removed a violin. Placing the open case at his feet, he shrewdly threw in a few dollars and pocket change as seed money, swiveled it to face pedestrian traffic, and began to play.
It was 7:51 a.m. on Friday, January 12, the middle of the morning rush hour. In the next 43 minutes, as the violinist performed six classical pieces, 1,097 people passed by. Almost all of them were on the way to work, which meant, for almost all of them, a government job. L'Enfant Plaza is at the nucleus of federal Washington, and these were mostly mid-level bureaucrats with those indeterminate, oddly fungible titles: policy analyst, project manager, budget officer, specialist, facilitator, consultant.

This news does not surprise me, but it certainly ticks me off. If you don't know who George Soros is, you need to research him. In a few words, I will sum Soros up by saying he is an evil, vile billionaire who calls the shots and controls Obama. He is the master puppeteer.
Canadian Resources Minister Joe Oliver says Barack Obama blocked the pipeline deal on behalf of radical left-wing Billionaire George
Soros has pumped millions into American far-left groups, many of which used some of his money to campaign for Barack Obama.
Barack Obama vetoed a major oil pipeline deal that would have brought thousands of new jobs and decreased our oil dependency on the Middle East. Obama is ensuring that unemployment stays high, gas prices climb, and America keeps sending tens of billions to Saudi Arabia, and Venezuela. The so-called “environmental concerns” are completely unfounded.
The liberal Washington Post called Obama’s veto “an act of national insanity.” Liberal TIME magazine attacked Obama and said the veto means Canadian oil will go to China and Americans will continue buying oil from Saudi Arabia.
Natural Resources Minister Joe Oliver recently blamed billionaire agitator George Soros, who funds extreme left-wing causes in North America, Europe, and Central Asia. He also fingered the US based Tides Foundation.
The Tides Foundation is a left-wing not for profit with a budget in the hundreds of millions. They are most known for promoting the global warming hoax.~~council concerned citizens
"You know, they said we needed to triple the Border Patrol. Or now they’re going to say we need to quadruple the Border Patrol. Or they’ll want a higher fence. Maybe they’ll need a moat. Maybe they want alligators in the moat. They’ll never be satisfied."~ pres. Odumbo
“Our Founders designed a system that makes it more difficult to bring about change than I would like sometimes.” - Obama
Obama Translation: "Our Founders" are in my way. But I'm consistently and successfully finding ways to get around them.
Founder's Translation: The Founding Fathers of this Republic deliberately wrote the U.S. Constitution to stifle a would be dictator ... knowing full-well one would be coming along sometime after they were gone. ~babalua
I wonder how many people even caught this. With Obama, you have to really listen to his words to fully understand the state of his mind.
The following is from a friend, which she wrote two days ago. She was out in front of today's UN story which I just posted below.
"The Robin Hood Tax. Sounds like a fable...something dreamt up by the liberal progressives in some far off fantasy land, right? WRONG. It's REAL, and it's HERE. A "tiny" tax that will yield 400 BILLION per year.
It's being pushed by Buffet, Soros, Leo Gerard, President Sarkozy of France, Chancellor Merkel of Germany....you know those two. They are the ones guiding the intentional collapse of the Euro. I forgot to mention THE UNIONS, OWS CROWD and the Salvation Army are also on board and pushing this worldwide. It's their AGENDA!
The bill (known as the Financial Transaction Tax) has already been introduced here in the US. Democratic members of Congress Rep. Peter DeFazio (D-Ore.) and Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) have introduced legislation that levies a 0.03 percent transaction tax on the value of stocks, bonds and derivatives transactions. It is unlikely to pass a Republican House which is dead set against raising taxes, but it's being floated and the UNIONS LOVE IT.
Ralph Nader wrote an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal advocating for a transaction tax. “The passage of such a tax would be a great start for our representatives in Congress to show that they’ve heard the message” of the Occupy Wall Street movement, said Nader."~~~L. Rockwell.
France came out last week announcing a financial tax on all transactions which will take effect this JULY.
This WILL TAX HEDGE FUNDS! Now we know why George Soros closed up his hedge funds last year. He KNEW this was coming, and it would have hit him hard.
How does Obama fit into all of this? The Global Poverty Act. Obama introduced the bill during his one term in the U.S. Senate. From News with Views was this:
It's way past time to wake up, people. Or....nothing to see, just move along?
NEW YORK — Outside the United Nations headquarters, hundreds of people were shouting and waving banners Tuesday that read "China and Russia – No Veto." These people wanted support from the Security Council of the U.N. to oust the President of Syria, Bashar al-Assad.
Inside the U.N., another group of civil society leaders demanded a basic level of social security as they promoted a "social protection floor" at a preparatory forum for the Commission on Social Development, which began Feb. 1.
"No one should live below a certain income level," stated Milos Koterec, President of the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations. "Everyone should be able to access at least basic health services, primary education, housing, water, sanitation and other essential services."
These services were presented at the forum as basic human rights equal to the rights of "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."
The money to fund these services may come from a new world tax.
"We will need a modest but long-term way to finance this transformation," stated Jens Wandel, Deputy Director of the United Nations Development Program. "One idea which we could consider is a minimal financial transaction tax (of .005 percent). This will create $40 billion in revenue."
"It is absolutely essential to establish controls on capital movements and financial speculation," said Ambassador Jorge Valero, the current Chairman of the Commission on Social Development. He called for "progressive policies of taxation" that would require "those who earn more to pay more taxes."
And Obama said he believed in a "biblical call" to care for the poor and to follow "the responsibility we're given in Proverbs to `Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute.'"
